After the release of the Olevel results, some of my juniors came
asking me...
" Hey weiwei, what's your course in RP arh?"
(not one of them asked, but many of them asked!)
and before I told them what course I am currently in,
I told them.
"No, don't come RP"
and I don't know whether did RP decreased their COP
(cut of point) or what...
Shujia, Yuzil and Gerald told me that they are not elligble
for RP courses though they have gotten around 20points or so.
And basically I told them you'll have to be a outgoing-cum-good
speaker in RP or else you lose out.
Let me tell those who're interested in RP about what do we
from 9pm(for the year ones) to 430pm.
First we will be given a problem, say
"why do people think that RP is a 'dumping ground' polytechnic"
given that as a problem of the day, the next thing you need
to do is to come up with a First Meeting Template.
so you may ask, what is it?
Tada, it looks like this. So basically the first column you'll have to
put in what you know, what you don't know about the issue of the problem
and lastly what you have to find out from the problem.
And of course, you are not alone when doing the problem.
You'll be in a group of 5 members for the whole day and the team
have to cooperate with one another to come up with solutions to the problem.
Anyway, back to what we do in RP.
Yeah, you'll have to discuss with the team from 9 to 10.
And the facilitator(a 'teacher' who facilitate) will come in in between
to make sure you're on the right track.
And from 10 to 11, you can either choose to stay in class
or meet up with your classmates/friends to have breakfast
together. But you've to make sure that there is time for you
to complete the worksheet with the group.
From 11 to 12,
further discussion on worksheet with the class.
Prior to that, 12 to 2.30 is time you and your group
have to address the problem statement and come up
with solutions. And there are several modes you can
choose to present your answers to the class.

Powerpoint slides,
Video Presentation,
Skit,
or even through games/quizes.
So once all the groups finished presenting which will be around 430,
that's not end of it.
You'll still have to do evaluation for yourself, do the quiz and also
write a reflection journal.

(P.S : Don't be stupid like me to come RP if your results are good enough
for you to be in better Polytechnics.
Don't let your impulsiveness ruin your future.
Consider carefully, seek advises from your parents, teachers and friends
before making the decision.
after all, you won't want to struggle in fighting for a place in the working society in the future eh?
